An old-world style Syrah getting its inspiration from the Northern Rhône. Complex aroma bouquet of elderberries, licorice, vanilla, black pepper, herbs de Provence & pipe tobacco. A well-structured mid-palate with baking spice and cacao nibs on the finish.
We chose to do a whole cluster fermentation on these estate Syrah grapes to honor the fruit and give the wine firm tannins that will hold up well in the cellar.
Pair with a black olive tapenade to really bring out the fruit flavors

Tasting Notes
Sit a while with the nose of this mature red wine and you will be rewarded with aromas of bitter chocolate, leather, black plums, cake spice, and cordial cherries. This slender red wine proves its might with flavors of fresh black peppercorns, cassis, balanced tannins, blackberry brambles, and just a hint of barrel toast.
Vineyard Notes
Estate Vineyard, Lyle, WA 1011’ elevation. Planted 2007 Shallow loess soil, high elevation and short growing season. Produces grapes with small berries and concentrated flavors without high sugar content. Old-world style wines. Similar region: High-elevation Northern Rhone.
