2021 Ramato

2021 Ramato

75% Pinot Gris, 25% Verdelho

'Orange Wine'

Extended skin contact during primary fermentation begins the process of turning white grapes like Pinot Gris and Verdelho, into an 'Orange' wine. Ramato in Italian means "copper" and is used to refer to Orange wines made with Pinot Gris.  This is considered a non-interventionist style of white winemaking, using prolonged barrel fermentation to flavor the wine and give it depth.

Caramel barrel tones, bright acidity, cedar, pekoe tea, and yuzu citrus. A stellar example of this style of wine +2 years in neutral oak barrels.
